Málaga is the center of the Costa del Sol, a famous tourist destination in Europe. It is part of the Andalucia region, which is home of flamenco and bullfighting.

It´s also one of the 5 most populated cities in Spain. The city is charactistized by wide, flat streets and white buildings. It´s the "whitest" city in Spain.

Málaga was one of the last strongholds of the Moors in Spain before being expelled after 800 years of rule. It is used by many North Africans as a doorway to Europe. It is one of the most important residences of the bishops of the Roman Catholic church. Of interest to art lovers, it is the birthplace of Picasso.
